US Headache Study
Methods
Eligible subjects were healthy adults aged 55 or older, dipyridamole naïve, seen at four research clinics in Maryland and Florida. Subjects with five or more headache days per month, with post-traumatic headache, or with headache associated with medication overuse were excluded.

Overall, 204 (39.7%) subjects developed headache after a single dose of DAC. Women were more likely to develop headache than men (49.6% vs. 28.6%, p 0.0001) and Hispanics (76.8%) more than whites (31.8%, p<0.0001) or African Americans (25.8%, p<0.0001). There were no significant differences for age.
