The diameter of the superficial temporal artery (STA) increased significantly over time after both adenosine doses (p<0.001), but not after placebo (p=0.691). The difference was highly significant between doses (p<0.001). Peak increase was seen at T15 and was 9.5 ±5.3% on the lower dose, and 20.6 ±16.2% on the higher, compared with baseline.
