- Prospective, phase III, multicentre, randomised, parallel group, double-blind trial of clopidogrel versus placebo in high-risk patients aged ≥55 yr who are on ASA background therapy
- Dosage
- Clopidogrel 75 mg/day or placebo
- ASA 75-162 mg/day
- No. of patients (total): 15,603
- Duration of study: follow-up 18-42 mo. (minimum 3 mo.)
- Event rate: estimated 3.1% per year
- Final event target: 1,040
