Aggrenox®: Strong protection against stroke and TIA
Aggrenox®/ Asasantin® (extended release dipyridamole + ASA) is a combined antiplatelet preparation for patients who have had transient ischaemia of the brain or ischaemic stroke due to thrombosis. It is indicated to reduce the risk of a recurrent stroke in these patients. The value of its unique formulation, its favourable efficacy, recommendations for its use, and its lack of serious side effects are described on this international website.
With superior efficacy over aspirin and similar outcomes vs. clopidogrel in reducing the risk of recurrent stroke and identical rates of vascular events (stroke, MI, vascular death), Aggrenox® provides strong protection for ischaemic stroke and TIA patients
The 19th annual European Stroke Conference will be held from 25-28 May 2010 in Barcelona, Spain.
