Dosage and Administration

The recommended dose of Aggrenox®/Asasantin® is one capsule orally twice daily - one in the morning and one in the evening. Aggrenox®/Asasantin® capsules should be swallowed whole without chewing. Aggrenox®/Asasantin® capsules are dispensed in light-resistant containers with child-resistant closures (unless non–child-resistant packaging is requested). No more than a 30-day supply (60 capsules) should be dispensed if a non-manufacturer's container is used. It is important to remember that Aggrenox®/Asasantin® is not considered interchangeable with the individual components of ASA and standard dipyridamole tablets.
